Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures. Has work commitment that is at minimum 3 shifts within a 6 week period. Must work one weekend shift within 6 weeks and 1 minor holiday
Wound care experience is preferred, but will train the right individual. Responsiblities will be assessment, documentation, dressing changes, wound vac applications, and assisting the physician with wound care treatments. This position will supervise hyperbaric treatments after training and documented competency.
This is a Monday through Friday position. In addition to outpatients, the RN will also work with inpatients at both the Smithville and Barry Road campuses. Weekend hours are on-call.
Junior College, Bachelors preferred
Applicable State RN License and BLS required, Certification in Specialty preferred
