About the Summit The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in partnership with The Diversity & Inclusion Consortium will host the 2021 Diversity and Inclusion Summit: Allyship! From "Anti" to "Ally": A Story of Personal Transformation. The purpose of the Diversity and Inclusion Summit is to convene D&I practitioners and champions for professional development dedicated to the exchange of concepts, insights and best practices in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion. Virtual breakout sessions are a part of this year's Diversity and Inclusion Summit.
Selection for these breakout sessions will be on the registration page. Topics will be an extension of the keynote presentation and include: Hiring (inclusive best practices and retention), Accountability (behavioral expectations), Psychological Safety and Disagreement (promoting and prioritizing), and Development (personal, professional, and organizational). Keynote Speaker
Joe Gerstandt Inclusion Strategist Joe Gerstandt is a speaker, author and advisor bringing greater clarity, action, and impact to organizational diversity and inclusion efforts. He has worked with Fortune 100 corporations, small non-profits, government entities, and everything in between. He is also a featured contributor for the Workforce Diversity Network Expert Forum. His insights have been published in Diversity Best Practices, Diversity Executive, HR Executive, numerous other print and on-line journals, and he co-authored the book Social Gravity: Harnessing the Natural Laws of Relationships. He serves on the Intersectional Culture and Diversity Advisory (ICD) Council for the social networking platform, Twitter, has served on the U.S. Technical Advisory Group's Diversity and Inclusion Working Group within the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and is currently on the board of directors for the Tri-Faith Initiative
