By acting as a facilitator and coordinator, the Material Manager works to implement SLHS Material Management objectives at assigned facilities. The Material Manager is responsible for day-to-day department operations including personnel management, supply charge master administration, Central Service and Distribution activities and other assigned functional responsibilities. The Material Manager is accountable for training and implementation related to all automated inventories management systems at assigned facilities. The Material Manager is also responsible for training users on the efficient use of online requisitioning systems. For the assigned facilities, the Material Manager serves as a leader and coordinates Value Analysis, Product Review, completes ongoing evaluations, reports product issues and interests to the Resource Managers and Contract Administrator. The Material Manager will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision and values of Saint Luke's Health System. At HMC/WMH, this position will hold full accountability of the Nutrition Services and Environmental Services departments.
Required: Certified Dietary Manager within one year of hire.
