The Opportunity:

Since 1896, Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City Crittenton Children's Center has served as the region's premier psychiatric care provider for children, adolescents, and their families. Crittenton is licensed as a psychiatric hospital by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and licensed as a Child Placing Agency and Residential Child Care Agency by the Missouri Department of Social Services-Children's Division.


We are currently seeking a full time Trauma Smart Trainer and Consultant.

 

Monday – Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm; requires overnight travel of up to 2-8 nights per month.

 

The Work:

Trauma Smart is an innovative, evidence based model of trauma informed practice, utilized by teachers, parents and mental health providers. We work with elementary and secondary schools, Head Start, and other early childhood programs to create safe, healthy environments for children to learn, grow and succeed.

We are looking for a master's level mental health professional.

  • The trainer consultant supports client agencies as they work toward becoming trauma informed and provides direct service including training and consultation for client agencies.

  • Provides individual, family and group therapy, consultation and training as designated by director.

  • Provide training in early childhood brain development and mental health interventions to early childhood educators across the United States.

  • Training in trauma informed models will be provided.

 

Required:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling. 

  • Missouri licensure at the clinical level.

  • Knowledge of Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), early childhood, education, Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC), Spanish or other languages is a plus.  

  • Must have a clean driving record and applicable vehicle insurance.
