The Opportunity:

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City – Plaza location is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Analyst to join our team. You will be accountable for coordinating Workers’ Compensation programs and OSHA reporting for multiple Saint Luke's Health System entities (i.e. Saint Luke's Hospital, Saint Luke's East, Saint Luke's North, and Saint Luke's South). Your expertise and experience will allow you to have a voice in standardized process improvement that aligns with best practices. The Work:

  • Acts as a resource to all entities for WC processes and OSHA issues

  • Works with all managers/ supervisors and employees researching and resolving questions concerning OSHA recordable injuries and OSHA mandatory reporting requirements, including year-end logs and OSHA forms

  • Works with all managers/ supervisors and pay roll to ensure employees are paid correctly

  • Files claims and keeps OSHA log current for multiple entities

  • Conducts ongoing analysis of claim progress from inception to closure coordinates early return to work for injured employees and works with insurers, Third Party Adjustor (TPA) and legal counsel to resolve and settle claims

  • Oversees processing of all WC related paperwork

  • Oversees WC data entry and production of monthly reports

  • Acts as a resource to employees managers and supervisors on WC issues

  • Assists with annual self-insurance filings for states of MO and KS.

2-3 years of experience is preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Analyst with strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of legal terminology, along with critical and analytical thinking skills. To be successful in this role, you will need to be effective and efficient in your work, task and results oriented, patient focused, and innovative. You must be adaptable as this position requires the management of sudden changes. You will work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously. We are seeking individuals who are high functioning, self-sufficient, and capable of managing deadlines.
